Role Summary:

The BI Business analyst intern will collaborate with business partners to understand business requirements relative to business processes, guide business partners through solutions design and translate requirements into actionable IT deliverables for key partners in the Anthropologie Group, Urban Outfitters, Free People, and Nuuly brands.

The URBN 2025 Summer Internship Program will run from 6/2 through 8/8 at our Home Office in Philadelphia, PA.

Summer Internship Program Application Process:

  • Apply to one (1) internship posting that best suits your interest & skills. If there is a project component in the application (see below within role qualifications), it is required that you submit this to be considered for a position. This is due at the time of your application submission.
  1. Complete Video Interview: Candidates selected will receive an email with a link to complete a video Interview. You will have 2 days to complete this portion of the application once the email is received.
  2. Interviews will be scheduled with our internal teams, continuing on a rolling basis.

Applications will close at 5:00pm EST on November 4th 2024.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for system analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, training and post-implementation review.
  • Communicates and coordinates project activities with business, technical and IT partners.
  • Negotiates and persuades other groups with diverse perspectives to gain cooperation and achieve business objectives.
  • Triages complex issues, analyze options, explain the impact and partner with internal teams to work towards the best solution to the problem
  • Anticipates and identifies issues that may prevent deliverables and develops and implements corrective actions.
  • Assesses projects and identify essential tasks; reprioritize tasks dynamically during each project; perform risk assessments; identify and evaluate alternatives.

Role Qualifications:

  • Experience creating BI solutions with Qlik Sense, PowerBI, Tableau, or similar tools
  • Firm understanding of SQL, databases, and data models
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail with emphasis on both quality and speed
  • Ability to prioritize work effectively and handle multiple competing demands
