Summary of Position:

The Department of PM&R at Temple is a major teaching center for medical students, residents, fellows, and allied health professional trainees. Our faculty is actively engaged in presenting scholarly reports at regional, national, and international meetings, publishing scholarly manuscripts and textbooks, and pursuing a variety of clinically relevant research projects.

Moreover, a thermography laboratory was established in 2020 with the goal of providing a novel, objective testing method for chronic pain disorders.

The Opportunity

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University is seeking a full time Academic Physiatrist with board certification in Pain Management or Sports Medicine to provide interventional spine care services including spinal cord stimulator placement.

Candidate Qualifications:
  • M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent
  • Successful completion of residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and fellowship in Pain Management or Sports Medicine from ACGME-accredited programs prior to the start date
  • Board certification in Physician Medicine and Rehabilitation
  • Board certification in Pain Management or Sports Medicine with expertise in interventional spine care
  • Ability to obtain an unrestricted medical license & DEA from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to employment.
