Staff Accountant

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team located in La Palma, California, 90623, United States. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including general ledger accounting, month-end procedures, and assisting with budgets.
This role requires a strong understanding of GAAP, the ability to perform reconciliations and journal entries, and the capacity to assist in audit schedule.
Responsibilities:- Perform general ledger accounting activities accurately and within set deadlines
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy
- Assist in the creation and monitoring of annual budgets
- Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger coding
- Perform analysis of financial data as needed
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules
- Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy in all accounting tasks
- Take initiative in identifying and implementing improvements to accounting processes and procedures. • Possession of a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- At least one year of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar.
- Proficiency in working with General Ledger.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make well-judged decisions.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential is a plus but not mandatory.
- Willingness to continuously improve and update accounting knowledge and skills.
