About Our Client
A Supply Planning Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods and materials through a company's supply chain. They manage the balance between demand forecasts and inventory, aiming to optimize supply chain processes to meet customer needs while minimizing costs.
Job Description- Demand and Supply Forecasting:
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and demand planning teams to develop accurate demand forecasts.
- Use historical data, market trends, and sales forecasts to anticipate future needs.
- Inventory Management:
- Ensure optimal inventory levels to meet customer demands while minimizing excess stock and reducing waste.
- Monitor stock levels and implement strategies to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Supply Chain Coordination:
- Work closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure that the supply chain operates efficiently.
- Coordinate production schedules with supply plans to align raw material availability and finished goods.
- Supplier Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement in supply chain processes, such as reducing lead times or improving accuracy in demand forecasting.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track efficiency.
- Risk Management:
- Develop contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions in the supply chain, such as delays from suppliers or unexpected changes in demand.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Communicate effectively with internal teams (sales, production, logistics) and external partners (suppliers, logistics providers).
- Provide regular updates on supply chain performance to senior management.

The Successful Applicant
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software, Oracle experience is a MUST HAVE.
- 2+ years of team management experience
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of production planning, procurement, and logistics.
- Experience in inventory optimization and demand forecasting.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, logistics, or a related field.
- Professional certifications like APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) certification can be an advantage.
What's on Offer
Target compensation for the Supply Planning Manager is $120,000 - $140,000 + Bonus. Compensation is commensurate with candidate experience.
