Strategic Sourcing Specialist- EV

About Our Client

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Buyer with experience in electrical or battery-powered vehicles to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in sourcing and managing components for electrical or battery-operated systems and will be instrumental in helping us streamline our supply chain and enhance our product offerings.

• Sourcing & Procurement: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for electrical and battery-powered vehicle components. Ensure timely delivery and quality of procured items.
• Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing. Continuously evaluate supplier performance and seek opportunities for improvement.
• Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies related to electrical and battery-powered vehicles. Apply this knowledge to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and manage reordering processes to ensure optimal stock levels and avoid shortages or overstock situations.
• Cost Management: Analyze pricing structures and develop strategies to reduce costs while maintaining product quality and supplier reliability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to understand their needs and ensure that procured materials meet technical specifications and quality standards.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role with a focus on electrical or battery-powered vehicle components or systems.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical systems, battery technologies, and their applications in vehicles.
• Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Certifications: APICS or other relevant certifications are a plus.
