Accounts Payable Specialist

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the precision and timely reporting of invoices and payments.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately input invoices into the accounting software
• Maintain correct coding of invoices in line with the financial reporting structure
• Obtain necessary approvals for all invoice transactions
• Assist in the completion of payment runs including checks, wires, ACH, etc
• Handle daily transactions with multiple currencies
• Conduct ad hoc reporting and research related to invoices and payments
• Respond to inquiries from both internal stakeholders and external suppliers
• Correctly record intercompany transactions amongst various subsidiary entities
• Contribute to the timely process of month-end close.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems.
• Demonstrated experience with Accounts Payable (AP).
• Familiarity with Account Coding and Coding Invoices.
• Ability to handle all basic accounting functions.
• Understanding of Accrual Accounting.
• Experience in auditing.
• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) processes.
• Expertise in Cash Applications.
• Understanding of General Ledger, General Accounting, and General Journal.
• Experience with Journal Entry Preparation.
• Familiarity with Aging Accounts.
• Ability to manage Payable Invoices and Approved Invoices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas.
• Experience with Enter Vendor Invoices and Unapplied Cash.
• Ability to make Account Adjustments.
• Experience in Reconcile Account, Daily Reconciliation, and Monthly Account Reconciliation.
