Pricing Analyst

Position Summary:

MAG is looking to fill a critical role for a Pricing Analyst at our company headquarters in Fairfax, VA. This position will report directly to our Pricing Director and be responsible for preparing timely, accurate, and compliant cost proposals.

The Pricing Analyst will collaborate closely with multiple MAG personnel and possible Sub/Prime Contractor finance elements while generating pricing/cost narratives in our proposal response to Government Solicitations/Contracts. The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of proposal pricing within the DoD and related market segments, with sharp attention to detail and a keen awareness of current market conditions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop compliant cost/price proposals to ensure they adhere to RFP requirements, the organization’s estimating system, and applicable U.S. Government procurement regulations (e.g. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR))
  • Review RFP/RFQ documentation, identify and develop questions based on the solicitation that impact Pricing compliance and strategy
  • Works closely with Capture/Business Development, Contracts, Human Resources and Operations to ensure cost proposals are compliant and compelling
  • Coordinates with senior staff to determine pricing structure, Price to Win, competitive analysis, and overall strategy
  • Works with the proposal team to develop and adhere to cost volume schedules
  • Responsible for creating internal and external price volumes, including cost narratives
  • Work with primes and subcontractors during pricing proposal development
  • Prepare and present pricing materials in BD Gate reviews with upper management
  • Contribute to the standardization of tools that result in compliant/quality pricing proposal
  • Other duties may be assigned

Requirements:

  • 4-8 years of experience with pricing for Government solicitations and proposals
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel building formulas
  • History working on and/or managing major and complex prime cost proposals generally valued at $50M+
  • Experience creating pricing models and preparing financial analysis to provide pricing decision support to management throughout the proposal life cycle
  • Experience developing compliant large Government Cost/Price volumes, including Cost Narratives.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Knowledge of and experience with:
  • How to dissect cost / pricing requirements out of a Government solicitation
  • different contract, solicitation, and agreement types to include Time and Materials, Firm Fixed Price, and Cost Plus contracts
  • the FAR and ability to read and understand Government contracts
  • Compliantly developed OCONUS cost models
  • Understanding of financial management concepts such as revenue, cost, profit, etc.
  • Ability to work flexible hours when dictated by proposal deadlines.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer service and collaborative team environment.

Clearance requirement:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Desired Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
  • Experience with OCONUS, ISR, and integration projects
  • History of conducting competitive analysis
  • Knowledge of Price to Win processes and tools

The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $125,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
