- Uses outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation individual treatment plans (ITP) in a problem-solving approach to formulate an appropriate plan of care.
- Provides services with consideration of the physical, psychosocial, cultural/ spiritual and age specific needs of those served within the healthcare system.
- Demonstrates appropriate use of equipment/supplies.
- Uses appropriate safety and infection control measures.
- Teaches/directs/advises/informs others in an appropriate manner.
- Reports/records information legibly and appropriately.
- Performs daily operational task as directed by Pulmonary Rehabilitation Coordinator with minimal supervision.
- Communicates changes to ITP and any concerns to Pulmonary Rehabilitation Coordinator as needed.
- Attends educational courses/seminars related to Pulmonary Rehabilitation to stay up to date on the latest practices.
Qualifications:
Pulmonary Rehab Specialist Qualifications- Completion of accredited Respiratory Care Program required.
- Current NC Respiratory care Board licensure required.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care, or completion within one year in position.
- ACLS certification required (or completion within one year in position.)
- Successful completion of hospital–wide, departmental specific orientation, and annual competencies.
- Previous Pulmonary Rehabilitation program experience preferred
