PART-TIME Accounting Assistant

A local non-profit is adding an experienced Accounting Specialist on a PART-TIME basis. The Accounting Specialist will work in-office approximately10-15 hours/wk during the hours of Mon-Fri, 8AM - 5PM. The pay for this position is $20/hr. This role will start off contract with the intent being to transition to permanent part-time.

Day to day job duties include:
- Entering vendor invoices into QuickBooks
- Creating checks and wires in QuickBooks
- Posting receipts in QuickBooks
- Cash and bank reconciliations
- Updating / maintaining member database
- Account reconciliations
- Ad-hoc reporting and other month-end close activities
Requirements:
- 2+ years of accounting in QuickBooks
- Intermediate Excel
- Ability to commit to a set, part-time schedule
- Attentive to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
