The Director of Regulatory Compliance and Staff Development is a professional, registered nurse who leads the Agency's Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) efforts, ensures regulatory requirements are maintained, and ensures Staff Education requirements are met.

The Director or Regulatory Compliance and Staff Development has accountabilities for the monitoring, implementation, and evaluation of process and programs to meet all regularoty, accreditation, and standards of practice. This position assures agency compliance with State and Federal regulations, standards for hospice licensing and certification, and Notre Dame Hospice's policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
  • Maintains a current Registered Nurse license in the state of Massachusetts
  • A minimum of 5 years of Hospice experience required
  • Previous experience with Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement efforts preferred
  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to relate well to staff and other professionals
  • Hospice certification (CHPN) within 2 years of hire preferred
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license, dependable transportation, and proof of current automobile insurance
  • Expected to participate in appropriate continuing education as required to maintain nursing licensure

Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills

Work Hours and Schedule Expectations:

  • Typical workday hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00PM; this is subject to change based on patient/family needs
  • Hospice administrative staff are expected to participate in the on-call rotation after hours, on weekends, and Holidays.
