We are searching for a diligent Bookkeeper to join our team in Spokane Valley, Washington. This role will be centered around maintaining precise customer relations, processing material pricing, managing our Point of Sale system, and upholding internal controls and documentation.

This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities include:

  • Communicating professionally and promptly to both internal and external customer inquiries and information requests, and providing support to sales and dispatch/scale staff.
  • Processing aggregate and ready-mix orders for invoicing daily and approved credit invoices weekly in the Point of Sale databases.
  • Setting up customer projects and maintaining all internal and external pricing, as well as the item master file, zones, surcharges, etc. in the Point of Sale System.
  • Preparing daily reconciliations of yardage and tonnage and reporting information as required.
  • Maintaining authorized backup for all customer pricing and audit control logs.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for material sales processing for the accounting, point of sale, and document imaging systems.
  • Performing all duties in accordance with internal controls and maintaining the confidentiality of company information.
  • Participating in and promoting an inclusive work environment.
  • Carrying out additional duties such as filing and specialized projects as assigned.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping role
  • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Proficiency in data entry tasks
  • Proficiency in using MS Excel
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to produce detailed documentation
  • Must have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
