We are not a trucking company. We haul our own equipment to and from job sites throughout the region. All employees are required to operate tractors and heavy equipment in addition to driving truck. If you are not driving a commercial vehicle, we will have other duties and tasks for you.
We typically need a CDL driver during the farming season (March-October). Otherwise all other duties are listed below.
Successful applicant would operate a wide variety of agricultural and specialized equipment. Other duties include repair and maintenance of equipment, welding and fabrication, building construction and general farm labor depending on need and abilities of employee.Qualified applicants must be able to: Work independently, be dependable, report to work on time and maintain accurate records (both written and electronic). This position is considered "Safety-Sensitive" in the state of Washington and due to our involvement with federally funded projects, all employees are subject to Federal DOT regulations at all times.

Responsibilities
Ability to perform accurate diagnosis and repair of most Truck, Tanker & Trailer system
Ability to Remove and Install Truck & Trailer parts safely.
Consistently perform all Truck, & Trailer maintenance as defined by FMF requirements.
Examines protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and makes adjustments.
Repairs or replaces defective parts. Lubricates and cleans parts.
Starts and drives repaired equipment to verify conformance to specifications and to test their performance and may assist with equipment relocation.
Sets up and operates drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
Troubleshoot and Repair 12 and 24 volt starting/charging systems.
Basic understanding of chassis electrical.
Ability to read basic electrical schematic.
Completes job work ordersAssists with regular inventory and equipment counts, out-of-stocks and ordering new supply.
Complies with all company safety policies, including use of protective equipment.
Employee must demonstrate the ability to work alone or within a team environment. Also be able to adapt to changes in job priorities quickly and work in a fast paced environment.

Education and/or Experience:
2 year Technical School graduate preferred. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); One year fleet maintenance or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Employee must meet Federal and State Department of Transportation requirements. Candidates with a valid Commercial Driver's License with Class A Air, Double and Tanker endorsements are required.
Employee must have own hand / air tools.

Essential Duties: Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment
Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment.Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
Completes all reports, logs and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
Valid driver license is required and ensure that driving records remains insurable under the corporate auto policy.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge: 1-2 years of experience performing service repairs in heavy equipment or power equipment industry
High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred.Basic Service Technician certification preferred.
Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
Proficient oral and written communication skills.
Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.
Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural equipment.
Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
Must provide your own set of hand tools.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical Effort : Service Technicians make repairs which often require them to work in tiring, awkward, and uncomfortable positions. They frequently stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, crawl under vehicles, and make repairs in other tight spaces.They frequently lift, handle, and carry parts. Occasionally, they move moderately heavy items with assistance or with mechanical devices. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and 150 pounds assisted. Working Conditions : service and repair shop.
Exposed to various work surfaces both inside and outside. The work is usually performed inside on concrete surfaces where there is exposure to drafts, noise, and fumes from vehicles. Service Technicians occasionally perform work outside under adverse weather conditions.
They are continually exposed to dirt, dust, and grease, and to the potential for burns, chemical irritations, shocks, bruises, cuts, and strains. To reduce dangers and irritations from these conditions, they follow prescribed safety practices and use safety equipment such as safety shoes and glasses, and respirators.
