Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Technical Business Analyst who is passionate about optimizing user experiences with cutting-edge software solutions to join UW Credit Union.

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will collaborate closely with UW Credit Union leadership and project teams to support and refine the development of business process models and documentation, ensuring that our projects meet both tactical and strategic goals.

You'll have the opportunity to lead the process of analyzing business and user needs, identifying functional requirements, and ensuring smooth cross-functional collaboration. As a key player in enterprise analysis, you'll drive innovative solutions, create member journey maps, and develop comprehensive business models while maintaining a strong relationship with project managers and team leads.

  • Base Salary: $90,000 - $107,000; mid-point is $103,400

Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do
  • Establish strong partnerships with Project Managers and team leads, providing shared leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Independently manage business analysis deliverables based on project scope and complexity, ensuring proper documentation and modeling of systems and processes.
  • Lead the identification and documentation of current and desired business processes, working closely with stakeholders.
  • Facilitate and coordinate business requirements, ensuring cross-functional impacts are identified and integrated into the solution.
  • Participate in procurement processes, including RFI/RFP development, SOWs, demos, and proofs of concept.
  • Define and document user stories, use cases, and both functional and non-functional requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • Analyze deliverables and collaborate with stakeholders, IT, and service providers to identify optimal solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders, users, and technology teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions.
  • Develop a deep understanding of operational processes, procedures, and controls to support effective business analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for process and system improvements to help mitigate operational risks and achieve business goals.
  • Create and manage a Requirements Management Plan, Traceability Matrix, and maintain vendor relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee vendor demos, proofs of concept, and scoring analysis to ensure solutions align with business needs and technical architecture.
  • Collaborate with technical leads to document workflow processes, system integrations, and functional/technical changes for future reference.
  • Develop and execute user test plans, organize end-user testing, and track issues through resolution, ensuring seamless project implementation.

Qualifications:

What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management or related field; relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
  • 5+ years of Business Analysis and Process and/or Project Management experience in all phases of a project lifecycle.
  • Experience with member journey mapping, business process modeling, systems integration and/or data mapping, requirements elicitation and documentation, and test plan and script development.
  • Ability to analyze enterprise-wide business and technology issues, document solutions, and effectively communicate findings to various stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in business process analysis, design, and improvement, with the ability to recommend, negotiate, and implement changes that drive efficiency and quality.
  • Effective collaboration and relationship building skills to identify and form effective teams, leveraging specific knowledge and skills to develop solutions and make impactful recommendations.
  • Technical knowledge including a detailed understanding of the software development lifecycle, project management methods (Agile/Hybrid), and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools like Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence decisions, challenge assumptions diplomatically, and represent business needs across all organizational levels.
