Shift Options:

• 5x8-hour shifts (7:30 AM - 3:30 PM)
• 4x10-hour shifts (1:00 PM - 11:00 PM)

Job Description:

• As a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), you will perform essential diagnostic testing and laboratory procedures in support of healthcare providers, ensuring timely and accurate results for patient diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Specimen Collection & Processing:
• Collect and prepare samples, including blood, urine, and tissue specimens.
• Follow standard protocols for specimen labeling, storage, and processing to ensure accuracy.
• Conduct routine and complex tests in areas like hematology, microbiology, immunology, and clinical chemistry.
• Utilize automated and manual laboratory equipment to perform diagnostic tests.
• Perform quality control tests and ensure equipment is functioning properly.
• Troubleshoot equipment and procedural issues, documenting any anomalies or malfunctions.
• Accurately record and interpret test results, flagging any abnormal or critical results.
• Communicate test findings to physicians and other medical staff in a timely manner.
• Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations (e.g., CLIA, OSHA).
• Work closely with healthcare teams to discuss lab findings and support patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and lab logs, reporting any discrepancies.

Qualifications:

Certification:

• Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification (ASCP or equivalent).

Experience:

• Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and proficiency with laboratory technologies.

Education:

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
