Sr. Accountant - Columbus

We are in the process of recruiting a Sr. Accountant. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be tasked with a variety of accounting duties such as corporate reporting, inventory control, and account reconciliations. This opportunity offers a contract to permanent employment arrangement, providing a stepping stone towards a long-term career in our organization.

• Oversee the process of corporate reporting, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.
• Handle month-end close activities, including the posting of journal entries.
• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable to maintain accurate records.
• Manage all aspects of general ledger entries and updates.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and fiscal inventories to maintain an accurate inventory control.
• Prepare and present error-free accounting reports, including trial balance analysis and other business analyses as needed.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure all financial data is accurate.
• Utilize your knowledge of software such as Oracle, SAP, and Microsoft Excel to streamline and automate accounting processes.
• Utilize Hyperion Enterprise and Hyperion Financial Management for various accounting tasks.
• Conduct annual inventory checks and maintain standard cost accounting records.
• Perform any other accounting duties as assigned or required.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
• Expertise in General Ledger management and Journal Entries
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for accounting tasks
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Familiarity with Oracle and SAP software
• Knowledge and experience in the Manufacturing sector
• Ability to prepare Trial Balance
• Experience in Month-end Close Activities, Month-end Financial, Month-end Journal Entries, and Month-end Reports
• Ability to perform Month-end tasks
• Experience in managing Journal Entry tasks
• Experience in performing Annual Inventory
• Familiarity with Cycle Count procedures
• Proficiency in Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Cost Accounting, and Standard Cost Accounting.
