Job Summary:
Banko Overhead Doors is seeking a skilled and experienced Garage Door Service Technician Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of service technicians, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and providing expert-level installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial garage doors and related equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Supervision:
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of service technicians.
- Assign daily work orders and ensure timely completion.
- Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Installation and Repair:
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of garage doors, openers, and related components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with garage doors and openers.
- Ensure all work is performed to company standards and customer satisfaction.
- Customer Service:
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions.
- Address customer concerns and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Provide estimates and quotes for repair and installation services.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to standards.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Technical Expertise:
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, products, and technologies.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the team.
- Assist in complex installations and repairs as needed.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory of parts and equipment.
- Order necessary parts and ensure stock levels are maintained.
- Track and report usage of materials and supplies.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in garage door installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred or demonstrated leadership skills.
- Skills:
- Strong technical and mechanical skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Certifications:
- Certification from the Institute of Door Dealer Education and Accreditation (IDEA) is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
