Job Summary:

Banko Overhead Doors is seeking a skilled and experienced Garage Door Service Technician Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of service technicians, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and providing expert-level installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial garage doors and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Supervision:
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of service technicians.
  • Assign daily work orders and ensure timely completion.
  • Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Installation and Repair:
  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of garage doors, openers, and related components.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with garage doors and openers.
  • Ensure all work is performed to company standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Service:
  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  • Address customer concerns and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide estimates and quotes for repair and installation services.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, products, and technologies.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the team.
  • Assist in complex installations and repairs as needed.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Monitor and manage inventory of parts and equipment.
  • Order necessary parts and ensure stock levels are maintained.
  • Track and report usage of materials and supplies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in garage door installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred or demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Skills:
  • Strong technical and mechanical skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Certifications:
  • Certification from the Institute of Door Dealer Education and Accreditation (IDEA) is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
