Job Description
-- Develop and teach an integrated curriculum of four or five full-year courses, selected from among: Introduction to Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Business Math, Calculus and Statistics, depending upon current student needs
-- Create and implement lesson plans for all math courses
-- Work collaboratively in a small environment with an appreciation for the school's core Catholic values, and a commitment to fostering an attitude of discipleship in our students for the glory of God and in partnership with their parents.
Qualifications
-- Bachelor's degree or higher-- Major in Mathematics or a related field
-- Experience working with students in a classroom setting
-- Ability to effectively communicate mathematical knowledge to
students at all levels of quantitative skill and knowledge
Ability to proactively manage the classroom for learning success
Commitment to Catholic education, including the desire to impart love for the Faith in young people
-- Alignment with Cardinal Newman's academic focus on an integrated curriculum in the classical, liberal arts tradition
-- Passion for developing students' intellectual, moral, and spiritual potential in a collaborative, positive setting
-- Ability to pass background screening and obtain diocesan safe environment ('Virtus') certification
