Crane Technician
Large manufacturer with locations nationwide is seeking a Crane Technician for their facility in the Columbia SC area. This position is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of overhead crane systems to ensure safe and efficient operation within a manufacturing environment.
Qualified candidates should have atleast 1 year of experience in a heavy industrial environment.
Relocation assistance and sign-on bonus available.

responsibilities:
- Inspect and Diagnose: Conduct regular inspections of overhead cranes and lifting equipment to identify mechanical or electrical issues. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess functionality and safety.
- Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on cranes, hoists, and associated equipment to prevent breakdowns. This includes replacing worn parts, lubrication, and alignment.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to OSHA and other regulatory standards for crane operation and maintenance. Ensure that all work is completed safely and follows company and industry safety protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs performed. Report any issues or potential hazards to management.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical and mechanical malfunctions in cranes and develop solutions to restore full functionality. Work with complex electrical systems, control systems, and hydraulics as required.
