We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage daily financial operations.
Compensation: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Review, manage, and process various bookkeeping needs of the bank.
- Process and balance NSF items and fees for overdrafts and insufficient funds.
- Prepare and issue overdraft and NSF notices.
- Handle non-posted deposit account items, including research and accurate posting.
- Maintain and review stop payment files and reports.
- Monitor special instructions on deposit accounts for proper item posting.
- Process returns and collection items for payment.
- Communicate with Bank personnel to address concerns.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; advanced education or job experience preferred.
- Minimum of one year of bookkeeping experience.
- Strong attention to detail with minimal errors.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Basic analytical ability for balancing and troubleshooting issues.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of customer information.
