Job Description:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide essential nursing care to residents in a Long Term Care (LTC) / Nursing Home setting. This role requires a compassionate approach and strong clinical skills to support residents' daily needs while ensuring their comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and document residents' health status, reporting any changes to the RN or physician.
• Assist with wound care, catheter care, and other nursing procedures.
• Provide support with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, mobility, and feeding.
• Collaborate with CNAs and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in the medical record system.
• Follow all facility policies, infection control procedures, and safety protocols.
• Offer emotional support and advocacy for residents and their families.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Active LPN license (Iowa or compact state).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Long Term Care or Skilled Nursing.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred).
• Ability to work 8-hour and 16-hour shifts as scheduled.
• Strong communication skills and a resident-centered approach to care.
