IT Project Manager/Business Analyst

Our Eastern Territorial Headquarters I.T. Department has a new opportunity for an IT Project Manager/Business Analyst (PM/BA). The IT Project Manager/Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business problems, processes and challenges assigned by the Territorial IT Director, Portfolio, Program, and Project Management.
This is an onsite position (West Nyack, NY) requiring approximately 35 hours of work per week and may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities:
- Fully understand current state business processes and challenges from the stakeholder(s).
- Partner with key stakeholders to determine priorities and challenges.
- Gather and document business requirements and risks/issues.
- Manage project status reporting for assigned Projects.
- Coordinate, manage stakeholder (including outside vendors on occasions) meetings and coordinate activities between all involved departments.
- Manage assigned projects from beginning to end, including status reporting, issue tracking, verification
- Create documentations, presentations, and other required documents.
- Lead Business requirements gathering sessions and technical requirements review sessions, as needed.
- Adhere to Project Management Office (PMO) processes and procedures for end-to-end project and service delivery to assigned Projects and Special initiatives.
- Create Business and Technical Requirements Documents
- Develop Project Assigned Test Cases for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Exercise limited supervision to become familiar with system functionality via UAT review.
- Create and manage Project Risks, Action Items, and Issues and Decision (RAID) logs.
- Identify critical action items and risks and work with Project Manager and/or other team members to address response strategy.
- Capture meeting minutes, update Project Schedule related tasks/activities, as needed via Monday.com
- Function as User Subject Matter Expert (SME) on applications
Project Manager:
- Create Project Lifecycle artifacts, such as Project Charter, Business Requirements Documentation, Project Scope Documentation, and Project Business Process Flows, as needed.
- Serve as primary Leader for specific assigned Project Team that will deliver as solution to a defined business problem.
- Responsible for Meeting Coordination, including Agendas. Ensuring all relevant stakeholders are in attendance.
- Facilitate and monitor ongoing project activities/tasks between various THQ departments, commands/divisions, as needed.
- Provide Business Process and/or business engagement oversight for Serenic and Shelby related projects based on familiarity with the THQ Finance Department Processes, Shelby and Serenic systems are used in current state processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science; MS in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems preferred.
- 3-5 years of related experience.
- Previous Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst experience required
- Prior Lotus Notes experience helpful.
- PMP or MBA and CAPM, helpful but not required.
- Problem Solving Skills, Strong Communications Skills
- Open to innovation and willingness to learn new methodologies and technologies.
- Experience with Finance Processes
- Ability to troubleshoot issues that are identified during Project, as needed.
