Our client is a prominent medical device company based in Wheeling, IL, dedicated to advancing patient care through innovative technology and high-quality products. They are currently seeking a talented Supply Chain Manager to join their dynamic team.

As the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain process. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in supply chain management, specifically within the medical device or healthcare sectors.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies to align with business objectives and regulatory standards.
  • Manage procurement, inventory, production planning, and logistics to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts to achieve cost savings and quality assurance.
  • Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Forecast demand and optimize inventory levels to balance availability and cost-efficiency.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes to enhance supply chain effectiveness.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of supply chain management experience, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Proven track record in supplier management and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems; experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
