Associate Director of Pharmacy - Pharmacy Services

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Your Role:
- Assists the Director/Pharmacy in managing Pharmacy division operations
- Oversees the medication use process, ensuring pharmaceutical services are safe and high-quality
- Manages human resources
- Provides daily pharmacy staff oversight
- Manages departmental budgetary responsibilities
- Develops and meets budget, demonstrates cost savings, and generates projected revenues
- Maintains legal, regulatory, and accreditation compliance
- Oversees United States Pharmacopeia (USP) general chapters , , and for Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH)
- Collaborates with other leaders for strategic planning
- Leads patient care quality improvement initiatives
- Develops policies, procedures, and practice standards
- Solves problems and recommends sound solutions
- Meet established goals and expectations

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY:
Required Education:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited pharmacy school
Preferred Education:
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree or equivalent experience.
- Advanced training in business, public health, health administration, pharmacy administration, residency administration, and/or pharmacy leadership.
Required Experience:
- Five (5) five years of clinical pharmacy leadership experience
Preferred Experience:
- Pharmacy residency (e.g., postgraduate year two (PGY2) residency in leadership) or comparable experience.
- Research experience (including results' presentation and publication).
- Operational and leadership experience with USP general chapters , , and .
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and regulations.
- Global understanding of operational/clinical pharmacy and pharmaceutical public policy.
- Knowledge of pharmacy services cost justification principles and methods.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical care provision related laws, regulations, principles, standards, and practices.
- Proficient verbal, written, and persuasive communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Creative in developing and integrating innovative pharmaceutical care services.
- Ability to lead and manage a diverse team.
- Concentrated interest in pharmacy administration.
- Philosophies and professional goals compatible with those of Clinical Operations and the Director/Pharmacy.
Required Certification/License/Registry:
- Licensed, or eligible for licensure, as a pharmacist in accordance with Florida Statutes (FS), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), chapter 465 (Pharmacy)
Preferred Certification/License/Registry:
- Board certification/credential in an approved expertise area.
