Process Engineer II Location: Somerset, NJ (Hybrid) Position Responsibilities:

+ Responsible for undertaking process improvement and development projects and other activities listed below in the assigned areas of responsibility with direction from Process Engineering Manager, Director of Technology, and/or Production Managers:

+ Qualification/Validation of new equipment and processes

+ Deviation and change management

+ Troubleshooting of production problems, implementation of preventive and corrective actions

+ Process improvement: cost reduction, increasing productivity including automation

+ Provide technical leadership in production environment based on in-depth, expert understanding of processing-structure-properties relations related to current and new products and processes within the assigned areas of responsibility.

+ Responsible for overseeing activities related to troubleshooting of the current production processes in close cooperation with QA, Production and R&D.

+ Responsible for overseeing activities related to implementing new processes and transfer of new products to production in close cooperation with QA, Production and R&D.

+ Conduct pilot scale experiments and tests needed to develop and/or improve production processes.

+ Develop specifications and test methods for new and existing production processes.

+ Investigate new processes and raw materials.

+ Delegate sample preparation as necessary for testing to Production, R&D and QA staff.

+ Supervise non-routine maintenance and modifications of new and existing production equipment.

+ Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

Your Qualifications:

+ Master’s degree, or bachelor's with equivalent training, in Ceramic Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science and Engineering or Chemical Engineering.

+ Good overall understanding of processing-structure-properties relations pertaining to IVMI products.

+ Excellent leadership skills.

+ Ability to work independently with minimal instruction and a hands-on approach.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written.

+ Ability to travel both domestic and international.

+ Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and time manage workload.

+ Ability to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

+ Computer literate in Microsoft Office.

Physical Demands:

+ Ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation. Occasionally required to stand, move about inside the office area to access files. Frequently communicates with employees of all levels as well as outside vendors. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
