The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:

  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of technical plans, drawings, and models with experience in writing and providing support documentation for engineering calculations
  • Demonstrate a high level of personal initiative and ability to interact with personnel, contractors, regulatory representatives and prioritize work while managing multiple projects
  • Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation
  • Experience in working in Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
  • Experience working in a customer service environment
  • Excellent PC skills - specifically MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Helping in the preparation of design deliverables for overhead and underground transmission lines
  • Helping in develop design criteria, routing, siting and placement of manholes, duct bank design, plan and profiles, ampacity calculations, pulling calculations, and construction specifications
  • Work with vendors and clients to specify transmission line components
  • Conduct field visits to verify routing conditions and design parameters, and factory visits to ensure compliance with material specification and product quality
  • Review drawings for manufacturers and use pertinent information in the production of design drawings
  • Comply with federal, state, local and client safety and environmental regulations, permit requirements and policies
  • Utilize the appropriate PPE and maintain a safe working environment adhering to the highest level of safety standards meeting ExecuPOWER's and customer's safety standards
  • Perform administrative functions, such as writing technical reports, preparing job status reports, and filing timesheet and expense submittals on a timely and accurate basis
  • Assist in power restoration efforts in order to support client's natural disaster response program
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, or Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited engineering program
  • Experience in PLS CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER, MFAD, OR LPILE
