Special Procedure Technologist

Overview:

spend a great deal of time standing and may be required to help lift and transfer patients, the

technologist will also prepare and position patient for the cardiac catheterization for angioplasty, anesthetizing the area of insertion. as requested by the physician. Performs and obtains high quality, high resolution imaging chain with adequate shielding and collimation essential for fluoroscopic

guidance on all patients.

Responsibilities:

• Performs and obtains high quality, high resolution imaging, adequate shielding and collimation essential for fluoroscopic guidance exams on all patient.
• Responsible for obtaining imaging data in a manner prescribed by the Cardiologist.
• Familiarity with fluoroscopic, cardiac and radiographic equipment and other imaging systems.
• Documentation in GE MAC Lab and McKesson system.

Qualifications:

-Two (2) years’ experience as an Cardiac Cath Tech or X-ray Technologist with minimally one (1) year experience working in an Interventional Radiology or Cardiac Catheterization Suite.

• American Registry Radiologic Technologist (ARRT Registered).
• Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology.
