Description:

The IT Workstation Administrator role will be responsible for helping to build, manage and maintain computer systems for Southern Orthodontic Partners and our partner practices. The person in this role will be responsible for ensuring that our workstations (both physical and virtual) are functional, secure, and perform at peak efficiency.

Essential Job Functions*:

  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications on workstations.
  • Perform regular updates and patches to ensure systems are secure and up to date.
  • Monitor and manage workstation performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the setup and configuration of new workstations and peripheral devices.
  • Maintain documentation of support requests and resolutions.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all workstations and related hardware.
  • Track and manage software licenses and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
  • Coordinate with vendors for the procurement and maintenance of hardware and software.
  • Work closely with other IT team members to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems.
  • Communicate effectively with end-users to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of IT strategies and initiatives.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on the proper use of workstations and software.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Essential Job Skills:

  • Extensive customer service experience is a must
  • Design/Implement/Monitor Computer Systems
  • MacOS experience with Microsoft 365 is preferred
  • Team player able to effectively interact cross-functionally with a variety of individuals with different competencies and backgrounds
  • Self-propelled work ethic with ability to stay on task and focused with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to work on a flexible work schedule, and travel as the job requires
  • Exceptional communicator, both written and oral
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Technical problem solving, project management, dependability, initiative, and professionalism are of the utmost importance
  • Extensive knowledge of Window 10, Windows 11 and MacOS
  • Solid networking and system administration – Understanding of network switches, routers, and firewalls is required
  • Networking knowledge covering LAN/vLAN/WAN technologies
  • Azure Active Directory / Microsoft 365 Administration experience required

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of workstation management and support experience
  • Experience working with RMM solutions
  • Experience working with MDM software
  • Experience working with Intune
