Amazon Route 53 is a highly available and scalable DNS-based naming and routing service offered by Amazon Web Services. We enable high availability for most AWS services via intelligent routing either directly or indirectly. Our services enable our customers to build high scalable, reliable, and available applications on AWS.

We are also our own biggest customer with one of the largest portfolios of internet domains and subdomains in the world. These domains exist across multiple lines of business and multiple brands. We are always looking for ways to improve how we operate at scale and we are building a cross-organizational team to transform our domain management practices.

We are looking to hire a Principle Technical Program Manager (TPM) that will own Amazon’s Domain Management program. As a Principle TPM, you will be responsible for driving solutions for a highly ambiguous problem that requires a deep understanding of internet technologies.

This includes establishing a cohesive set of policies that scale to allow Amazon to effectively manage and govern its ever-growing domain portfolio, driving the creation of a centralized management service, launching discrete efforts to remediate identified gaps and establish controls, and ensure we have cohesive engineering solutions that can exist without the burden of heavy process or never-ending program management.

Key job responsibilities

You are results focused and can work through organizational complexity to deliver highly visible goals. You are adept at Project and Program Management fundamentals and understand the technologies used to build highly secure and available internet based solutions.

You can take diverse inputs and author crisp VP level updates.

A day in the life

On any given day you will work with program stakeholders to facilitate the completion of project milestones, anticipate challenges that need to be addressed before they become issues, organize and deliver program wide updates that represent the progress, issues, and risks being addressed, dive deep into technical solutions and provide the necessary context to help deliver a world-class solution.

If you’re looking for an opportunity to showcase your skills on a problem that spans every facet of Amazon’s business then apply today!
