Overview:
The Construction Programs & Technology (CP&T) Coordinator oversees strategic development and processes, focusing on quality assurance, risk management, and the implementation of advanced technological solutions. This role ensures that project and departmental processes meet high-quality standards, mitigate risks effectively, and leverage technology for operational efficiency.The CP&T Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, discipline departments, and executive leadership, to improve construction practices and outcomes continuously.

MasTec’s Clean Energy and Infrastructure Group (CE&I) is a $4 billion annual revenue business unit that provides construction services for industrial facilities; building products manufacturers, power generation facilities, manufacturing plants; solar, wind, and thermal energy plants; buildings, and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development of tools, processes, and integration for the Construction Programs & Technology Department.
- Collaborate with external departments and project team to complete PM Project Support (SharePoint) documentation, including Contract, Lesson Learned, Project Execution Plan, Phase Gate, Risk Register, and Schedule.
- Provide comprehensive training and ongoing support for tools such as Procore, OpenSpace, Bridgit Bench, and Power BI.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance construction processes and project delivery.
- Support the integration of construction management software platforms such as Procore and any other technology that helps to increase operational efficiency.
- Perform project performance grading and tracking based on the 7 Cardinal Rules evaluation and generate reports in Power BI to provide data-driven insights into project performance.
- Participate in Operations Monthly Meetings to provide input and gain insight into project status.
- Develop, manage, and continuously improve the Risk Register to effectively identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Verify that projects have a risk register and that the risk data is accurate, timely, and relevant.
- Involvement in updating the Project Risk Register to ensure the risks are up to date and appropriate risk treatment is in place, controlled, and adjusted.
- Provide comprehensive training and ongoing support for risk management.
- Support the control of exposure of each risk item within the risk register.
- Facilitate and capture Lesson Learned throughout the project lifecycle from Precon to closeout.
- Develop and manage Lesson Learned analytical report (Power BI).
- Develop and implement Quality Assurance & Quality Control Management system and procedures to maintain consistency in quality across all projects.
- Conduct detailed research and utilize company resources to develop Action Plans and Inspections organized by the diverse divisions found in the CSI Master Format.
- Embed company Action Plan templates within construction management software (Procore), to be accessible to project teams.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of quality processes, procedures, and outcomes, ensuring alignment with quality management objectives.
- Create and provide comprehensive training and resources for the QA&QCM system.
- Provide on-site project management support/training for implementation and project-specific integration.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- - College/University degree in engineering/construction management/architecture is required. Masters/MBA desirable
- Project Management and/or Risk Management certification is desirable
- Construction industry experience preferred
- Superior communication and coordination skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Advanced skills with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Procore
- Document Control Experience
- Ability to travel
