Job Responsibilities:
- Perform dental cleanings by removing plaque, tartar, and stains.
- Apply topical agents, such as fluoride and sealants, for preventive care.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and dental health.
- Take and expose dental X-rays as required.
- Polish teeth to enhance cleanliness and smoothness.
- Record patient medical history, vital signs, and dental conditions.
- Assess periodontal health and chart any findings.
- Administer desensitizing agents for patients experiencing tooth sensitivity.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Dental Hygienist.
- Valid NY State Dental Hygienist License issued by NYSED (Primary Source Verification required).
- X-ray certification preferred.
