Retail Shift Leader

We are looking for Part Time Shift Leaders to work in our Tess Morgan store in the Livingston Mall, NJ.

This position is for a professional who excels in delivering a great client experience. The ideal candidate will show leadership potential and demonstrate the ability to make decisions that benefit the store and the business. They will have been recognized for flawlessly executing brand and operational standards that have produced the highest possible sales volume and maximized profitability opportunities.

Essential Functions:

  • Support the management team by leading and managing the store in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Manager. Lead in a motivational and positive manner, to exceed financial goals. Drive sales through utilization of selling techniques as well as through product knowledge and merchandising
  • Provide Team with timely consistent and regular feedback, both formal and informal. Plan and prioritize daily responsibilities, tasks and staffing according to traffic flow and planning tools (Pandora: effectively leverage CSL role and program as designed). Support a productive and accountable environment
  • Partner with Store Manager, Assistant Manager and District Manager as necessary
  • Maintain a continuous update and styling of the selling floor to optimize sales.
  • Participate in learning and development activities in order to provide optimal customer service
  • Complete all training activities within established timelines
  • Perform operational duties to run the retail store. These duties include but are not limited to opening/closing, ensuring store security, overseeing safety, training and developing the team, and de-escalating customer issues

Job Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Previous retail leadership experience is required
  • Experience in selling specialty, luxury and or lifestyle consumer goods is strongly preferred
  • Experience working within a branded concept is preferred
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Superior customer service skills
  • A passionate and enthusiastic personality
  • Experience working with IT systems
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Regular attendance is essential to this position in order to ensure adequate coverage to meet company objectives
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays is required. Adherence to assigned work schedule, to clocking in/out accurately and maintaining accurate & updated availability information in the scheduling system (When I Work)
  • Adherence to and enforcement of brand dress code guidelines
  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, and bending for most of the day. The employee must be able to lift and/or move items up to 30 pounds
