Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Analyst

Client: New York City Office Of Technology And Innovation (Direct Client) Duration: 12 Months (Extendable) Work Hours: 35 hrs/week. Location: 2 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn, New York 11201 (Hybrid) SCOPE OF SERVICES: IT Security Analyst: Determine security requirements by evaluating business strategies and business requirements.
Analyze appropriate security assurance levels. Evaluate security policy and next-generation threats. Analyze potential impact of new threats and exploits; develop and implement expert firewall solutions to mitigate those threats. Analyze risks to critical applications and recommend security controls.
Communicate risks to relevant business units. MANDATORY SKILLS: Minimum 8 years experience in a technical and/or business application, product, platform, or methodology. Demonstrate a sound understanding in the implementation of cybersecurity trends, security methodologies, and osi model; tcp/ip stack.
Experience designing secure networks, systems and applications with a focus on security, performance and reliability. Experience planning, researching and developing security policies, standards and procedures. Experience working with windows and linux operating systems.
DESIRABLE SKILLS: Cybersecurity experience in a PSAC/PSAP environment working on NG911 systems One or more relevant information security and/or networking certifications such as: CISSP, Security+, Network+, CCNA, PCNSE. Professional experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications.
