Job Description
The Project Engineer's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate project requirements for mechanical design, electrical design, and programming.
- Perform occasional modeling and drafting in PTC Creo.
- Identify and specify components needed to meet system requirements.
- Review and ensure designs comply with all relevant specifications and standards.
- Process departmental nonconformances as necessary.
- Oversee complex projects for key clients, government agencies, and NQA1-classified work.
- Develop design verification documents, including quality program forms.
- Collaborate with clients to clarify project objectives and deliverables according to contract details.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking milestones, critical tasks, and progress payment stages.
- Lead and support project teams, including production, electrical, service, quality, and sales departments, on schedules and deliverables.
- Enter drawing packages into the ERP system to create bills of materials (BOM).
- Collaborate with suppliers for quotes on custom, fabricated, and purchased parts, selecting the best options among approved vendors.

The Successful Applicant
The successful Project Engineer will have the following requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
- Proficiency with CAD systems, preferably PTC Creo.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical part and assembly drawings.
- Preferred experience with gas handling equipment, HVAC machinery, or gas process piping/tubing.
- Familiarity with pneumatic, piping, and electro-mechanical automation systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and finishing techniques.
- Project management experience.
- Experience with Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
- Skilled in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- US Citizenship required due to federal contract eligibility.
