Job Description
The Senior Manufacturing Quality Engineer - Testing Equipment will be responsible for the following:
- Operate and program precision measurement equipment, including Zygo interferometers, calipers, micrometers, and other metrology tools.
- Perform dimensional and optical inspections to ensure product compliance with technical specifications.
- Develop and validate testing procedures for new and existing equipment.
- Analyze measurement data to identify trends and inconsistencies, ensuring accurate test results.
- Schedule and perform regular calibration of testing equipment to ensure measurement accuracy.
- Maintain calibration records and ensure compliance with ISO or AS9100 quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with measurement equipment.
- Coordinate with external vendors for advanced repairs or recalibration services when necessary.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS in accordance with ISO 9001 or other relevant standards.
- Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and certification requirements.
- Drive the corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes to address non-conformities and improve system effectiveness.
- Monitor and report on QMS performance, implementing improvement initiatives.
- Oversee the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Establish and enforce quality control procedures and guidelines to minimize defects and ensure consistent product quality.
- Lead the implementation of statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and other methodologies to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Work with production teams to monitor process performance and resolve quality-related production issues.
- Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure that product design, materials, and manufacturing processes meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to define quality requirements and ensure their integration into product specifications.
- Manage supplier quality activities, including audits, assessments, and qualification processes.
- Establish and manage quality documentation, ensuring records are maintained and easily accessible for audits and customer requests.

The Successful Applicant
The ideal Senior Manufacturing Quality Engineer - Testing Equipment will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Zygo interferometers and other precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMMs).
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality management standards.
- Experience with quality tools and methodologies such as SPC, FMEA, root cause analysis, and CAPA.
- Proven experience leading audits and implementing QMS improvements.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or Lean Manufacturing certification is preferred.

- Base Salary of $85,000-$120,000 depending on experience
