Job Description:
Responsible for daily set up, maintenance, action stations, and breakdown/clean up of buffets in the dining room, as well as bussing and setting tables, and delivery of food to tables.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and breakdown buffet with food items, utensils, and proper signs, by scheduled start time
- Maintain food appearance, temperature, and quality throughout the meal period
- Alert the chef of any quality issues with food.
- Maintain buffet time logs for food items.
- Cook omelets, waffles, carve meats, ladle soup, toss salads, brew coffee, prepare desserts, and perform other services at action stations.
- Greet and assist guests with introduction to buffet items, help open chaffers, carry plates.
- Polish and maintain all buffet equipment.
- Maintain overall presentation of dining room by ensuring that linens and chairs are clean and straight, floors, walls and windows are clean, light bulbs are not burnt out.
- Maintain centerpieces: fresh flowers watered, vases polished, condiments and sugars and salt and peppers clean and full according to standards.
- Fold napkins according to specified standards.
- Alert a manager immediately if a guest has a suggestion, complaint, or issue.
- Maintain guest confidentiality standards.
- Participate in employee meetings, training sessions, and line-ups.
- Bus dirty plates, glassware, and silverware, clean and reset tables.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the buffet per health code standards.
Qualifications:
- Related F&B experience in a guest service oriented position is preferred.
- The associate is frequently required to reach or bend.
- The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Work hours will be required to fluctuate due to business levels and associates may be required to work any given day or shift, including weekends and holidays.
- Overtime may be occasionally required.
- Unexpired certification in ServSafe https://www.ServSafe.com or able to obtain certification prior to starting.
