We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the wine industry located in Stamford, Connecticut. In this role, you will primarily support the Accounts Payable function, focusing on transactional work, three-way matching, and invoice reviews.
This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:- Handle the processing of invoices on a daily basis, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Carry out detailed General Ledger (GL) coding for invoices
- Manage accounts payable functions, maintaining a strong focus on coding
- Conduct thorough invoice reviews to validate the details and ensure accurate processing
- Implement three-way matching for invoices to ensure correct payments
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for various tasks and reporting needs
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the Accounts Payable team by performing other related duties as required. • Must possess skills in Accounts Payable (AP)
- Proficiency in coding and coding invoices is essential
- Experience with 3 Way Matching is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary
- Previous experience in the wine industry is preferable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
- Prior experience in a similar role is highly desirable
- Knowledge of accounting principles and best practices
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
