Operations Manager HDS
Overview:
The Operations Manager will oversee one or more of Central Health's service areas that support its goal of creating a comprehensive, highly coordinated system of care for identified vulnerable populations in Travis County. Responsibilities for this position include daily operations, oversight and operational planning.Service areas and programs may include primary care, specialty care, transitions of care, post-acute or others and may include support of other relevant projects. Responsibilities include gathering and interpreting data, developing and maintaining timelines, overseeing implementation of action plans, process improvement, project support, monitoring of budgets, contract oversight, and serving as a strategic partner within the team.
This position will report to an Operations Director and will work closely with operations, medical management, and the analytics department as well as clinical and operations leadership.
This position is considered hybrid, meaning individuals in this position may work both at an approved off-site location and onsite at a primary location or multiple locations based on business needs. This candidate selected for this role must live in the greater Austin area.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Align service area goals to the planning, implementation and closure of initiatives.
- Provide support for multiple, complex and related services, initiatives, and projects to maximize overall benefit and alignment to strategic program objectives.
- Oversee ongoing operations of assigned service areas by:
- developing knowledge about what and how services are delivered on a day-to-day basis;
- monitoring data to optimize efficiency, effectiveness and appropriate utilization;
- actively supporting service area planning;
- support in the management of budgets and contracts.
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery value relative to quality, cost and experience.
- Identify opportunities for coordination and interdependencies within initiatives and service areas and effectively deploy change management techniques to improve program outcomes.
- Assist with the onboarding of new team members to include ERF (Employee Request Form) completion, communication to team members and preparation of orientation schedule.
- Analyze and recommend changes in workflow processes and procedures while ensuring patient satisfaction, quality, financial stability, and team productivity.
- Complete audits as it relates to daily task and other identified team requirements in the electronic medical record.
- Assist with departmental staff meetings.
- Monitor and maintain departmental specific supplies and administrative equipment inventories according to budget and department needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of related experience
Master's Degree with 1 year of related experience
Work Experience:
3 years of work related experience with a Bachelor’s degree
1 year of work related experience with a Master's degree
Demonstrated work experience managing clinical projects, clinical operations and/or working in a medical office in a managerial role.
Demonstrated experience and proficiency with tools, technology and systems typically found in a healthcare environment (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite, patient record systems, EMR systems, etc.).
