Overview:

The role of Principle Technology Advisor is to provide continuous expertise and insights around cyber security to its clients. Through strong partnerships with C Level executives, this role creates a unique service offering around cyber strategies, assessments, and technical counsel on demand, breaking the traditional annual or advisory services done through compliance audits.
Services can range from direct input and prioritization of IT Security Roadmaps and strategic planning, environment assessment reviews, risk management, to advice regarding incident response, threat prevention-detection and identifying gaps and opportunities to increase awareness around security while reducing exposure and risk to potential threats.

Acting as a direct liaison to a wide range of vendors, this service creates distinct access to engineering and development opportunities that conventional cyber services can’t offer.

Responsibilities:

Pre Sales & New Accounts– This role serves two functions in the pre sale stage of the customer life cycle.

This role will bridge the gap between sales and engineering to ensure complex engagements are properly evaluated through discovery and planning prior to delivering documented requirements and scope to engineering for a solution proposal. Similarly, any cyber security related inquiries around hardware components, configurations and management around software, as well as questions related to security within the customer’s technical environment.

This role is also responsible for providing input, council and limited advisory services to the customer throughout the sales cycle on topics relating to cyber security. This may be accomplished by collaborating with the customer’s executive teams regarding short and long term security strategies, incident response & management, technical stack review and assessments, as well as unique service offerings to compliment internal IT resources responsible for security of their environment.

Strategic Accounts – The Advisory role will provide a collaborative source of knowledge, expertise and information sharing to strategic accounts. This role will forge strong high touch partnerships with upper echelon accounts and its executive IT members to ensure One Source has a full picture of their current technology and infrastructure environment, as well as critical needs and planned changes.

A deliverable of this role is to help document and develop a customer profile that outlines key areas of technology including but not limited to security, major network and infrastructure changes, and significant platform migrations.

This role will be responsible, and the primary liaison, for reporting major IT trends, cyber events and impacts and act as the primary liaison between the executive team and internal/external parties regarding requests and feature enhancements.

This role will also be responsible for serving as the singular point of contact for complex and critical initiatives during discovery and planning for designated key accounts.

Vendor Management & Advisory – This role can support the intake of existing customer requests, features, and enhancements through the appropriate channels, for example Quarterly Business Reviews and similar events. This role will be responsible for providing valuable feedback to engineering teams, support groups and service channels regarding customer inquiries.

This role will also bring forth existing gaps and opportunities in our service/support offering to various departments for evaluation and assessment.

This role is regularly informed regarding product enhancements, hardware – software development changes, system-device features, and support changes. This role will be responsible for the impact analysis and relaying that information to appropriate internal groups and customers.

Primary liaison between customer requests and internal engineering teams, development, third party services in order to understand, evaluate and provide input regarding enhanced features and new development requests.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ Years experience successfully leading technical teams in an executive or leadership capacity.
  • Proven experience interacting with senior leadership, C Level executives, and board of directors; experience with creating and delivering effective Board of Director presentations.
  • Vast knowledge of cybersecurity threats, emerging strategies from threats/ actors and service catalog that compares/contrasts services from other industry leaders.
  • Practical knowledge and proficiency regarding regulatory and compliance across multiple disciplines and industries.
  • Hands on knowledge of Tier I-III issues related to hardware/software/ICRT support tickets
  • Experience in related fields such as Service Desk, Product Management and Change Management, Release Management and SDLC.
  • Knowledge and experience with ITSM tools, dashboards and KPI reporting tools.
  • Proficient with security related hardware components, architecture, software and tools.
  • Successful track record with developing vision plans, technical strategies and roadmaps; similar track record with execution of strategies and tactical roadmaps.
  • The ideal candidate will be a proven leader that can effectively operate and navigate complex issues with minimal direction and can effectively influence key stakeholders
  • Self-Starters who are comfortable in a greenfield / brownfield environment; experienced with developing emerging services and technologies.
  • Experience and ability to interact with peer senior leaders
  • Strong financial and business acumen, an understanding of P&L and metrics associated with capital expenditure
  • Strong interpersonal and situational leadership skills
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
