Job Description
  • Must be able to read and comprehend drawings and specifications as well as be familiar with Procore and on screens takeoff
  • Collaborate with the team to prepare cost estimates and bid proposals
  • Review construction plans and prepare quantity take-offs
  • Utilize software for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Maintain and update the cost database to assist in cost and management decisions
  • Work closely with project managers and engineers during project planning and development stages
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractor bid packages
  • Participate in client presentations to discuss cost estimates
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and construction laws

The Successful Applicant

A successful Junior Estimator should have:

  • Proficiency in analytical software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong understanding of construction principles and procedures
  • Excellent mathematical and IT skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
