Position Title: Director of Warehouse Operations
Department: Warehouse

Report To: CEO

BASIC FUNCTION: Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the company’s warehouse facilities. This role involves ensuring the efficient storage, distribution, and transportation of goods, maintaining high standards of safety, and optimizing productivity.

The Director of Warehouse Operations will lead a team of warehouse managers, supervisors, and staff, driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring that the warehouse operations align with the company's overall business goals.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Collaborate with executive-level management in the development and delivery of key operational strategy.
  • Direct and oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and logistics.
  • Analyze financial statements and reports to identify trends, variances, and areas for cost optimization.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Deliver key budgetary performance goals and long-term operational plans that maintain and expand the company’s operational abilities out 3 – 5 years.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for our key initiatives.
  • Oversee inventory control processes to ensure accurate tracking of stock levels, minimize shrinkage, and optimize space utilization.
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of warehouse facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Build and support an industry leading team with a focus on building talent and abilities.
  • Work closely with Human Resources to lead and develop your team with humility, sincerity and integrity.
  • Establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment that delivers results.
  • Complete or assist on special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale warehouse operations with full P&L responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, logistics, and supply chain principles.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
