Head of Acquisitions
Responsibilities:
The Head of Acquisitions is fully responsible for ensuring the Department strategically meets established transactional, monetary, and departmental goals as established through the Founding Partners
Provide support to the Acquisition Department’s success by overseeing the sourcing of deal pipelines, deal flow processing, and overcoming obstacles in order to to close transactions
Grow the company’s Investment Partner Directory with regional and national firms through aggressive networking
Lead a team to underwrite loans and develop relationships with national banks
Improve the pipeline and deal sourcing process through increased efficiencies
Prepare/analyze financial modeling and underwriting of prospective deals in all major product types
Work with Department of Real Estate to ensure Proforma measures are met and investor distributions exceed quarterly objectives
Analyze and perform detailed demographic research
Review due diligence information including financials, leases, rent rolls, title, third party reports, etc.
Oversee Investor Relations presentation development process, delivery, and follow through
Efficiently transition newly acquired assets over to the Real Estate Department
Assist the marketing team to maintain a CRM to track interaction with brokers and prospective deals
Qualifications:
Capability of transitioning current book of business and deal sourcing contacts to ensure new and immediate pipeline of transactions
Successful track record of sourcing and closing real estate transactions- 10 years of experience in Real Estate acquisitions
Proficient in financial modeling including Argus and Excel
Consistently displays high emotional intelligence, influential, and drive for success is highly sought for this role
Bachelor’s Degree – preferably in Finance/and or Commercial Real Estate
Strong leadership qualities and the ability to effectively train team members
Ability to work individually or with a team
