Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Laboratory Researcher IV for the Department of Pharmaceutics. This positions facilitates performance of clinical studies, including protocols preparation, preparation of study design, interacting with clinical teams and students, sampling processing, preparation of reports, publications and grants.The position serve as a liaison between lab-based researchers and clinical collaborators throughout Rutgers affiliated sites and helps organize clinical studies including subject enrollment, supply access, and administrative support.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Facilitates pre clinical and clinical research in the laboratory.
- Facilitates performance of clinical studies, including preparation of IACUC protocols, biological sample preparation
- Studies protocol preparation and facilitation of study procedures, institutional review board application (IRB) and animal protocol (IACUC) preparation.
- Helps perform biomedical laboratory research activities in close interaction with undergraduate and graduate students and post-doctoral fellows, including bio analytical procedures, cell culture experimentation, molecular biology, etc.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in sciences related to biomedical field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Knowledge in using of standard biomedical laboratory equipment.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with common biomedical laboratory procedures.
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional organizational and record-keeping skills
- Proficiency with computer use (Word, Excel)
- Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands; a valid driver’s license would be required for this position.
- Experience in biomedical research.
- Exceptional organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Advanced degree, such as PhD.
- Clinical background (pharmacy, medicine or veterinary).
- CRO training
- Experience in biomedical research.
- Knowledge of statistical software.
- Standard biomedical laboratory equipment.
- Candidate should be able to work with clinical and human biological samples.
- Occasional flexibility with work outside normal working hours to accommodate deadlines, clinical study schedule and sample collection on evenings and weekends, and travel.
