Associate Director of Development, McDonald’s Engagement
Position Overview:
We exist so families can get better together. Each night, we keep 181 families close to the care and resources they need through six area Ronald McDonald Houses® and four Ronald McDonald Family Rooms®. Enabling families to stay close to their hospitalized child supports the health and well-being of the child and saves families more than $10 million in hotel and food costs each year.We also operate the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® program, providing medical care to children in underserved areas. RMHC-CNI is an independent not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana (RMHC-CNI) is seeking a strategic, motivated, and mission-driven professional to join our Development team as the Associate Director of Development, McDonald's Engagement. This position plays a critical role in advancing RMHC-CNI’s mission by building and managing relationships with McDonald's Owner/Operators and key stakeholders across Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana.Working closely with McDonald's Owner/Operators, agencies, and suppliers, the Associate Director will develop strategic plans and initiatives to strengthen the impact and engagement of this incredible partnership, ensuring alignment with RMHC-CNI’s mission and goals.
What You'll Do
As the Associate Director of McDonald's Engagement, you'll be a key leader responsible for nurturing, growing, and stewarding RMHC-CNI’s relationships with McDonald’s Owner/Operators (MOCNI), the MOCNI leadership team, and McDonald's corporate partners.You will lead and inspire the McDonald’s Engagement team, including the Development Coordinator, to drive impactful initiatives that deepen community engagement and foster meaningful contributions from MOCNI stakeholders.
The Associate Director will lead strategic relationship-building efforts with McDonald's Owner/Operators, fostering collaboration across Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana. This role involves creating and implementing engagement strategies, acting as RMHC-CNI's main contact for MOCNI, and identifying opportunities for charitable support.Responsibilities include designing impactful fundraising programs, overseeing in-store donation initiatives, and collaborating on promotional campaigns with the Marketing & Communications teams. The Associate Director also serves as a liaison to RMHC Global, aligning local efforts with broader strategies, and supports key RMHC-CNI events and volunteer activities to drive community engagement and development goals.
Who You Are- Experienced: 5-7 years in development, donor relations, or corporate relations, with a focus on strategic partnership management.
- Strategic: Proven ability to design and execute strategic relationship plans, with a deep understanding of corporate partnership dynamics.
- Skilled Communicator: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, capable of engaging audiences of all sizes and backgrounds.
- Organized & Adaptable: Strong planning and organizational skills; able to balance immediate needs with long-term goals and pivot in a dynamic environment.
- Collaborative Leader: Proven success in building relationships across teams and working with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Self-Starter: Comfortable working independently and taking the initiative to develop and implement new ideas.
