Innovative Therapy Concepts is a Physical Therapist owned and operated Therapy management organization that was founded by Joe Sapp, PT in 2006. We began our partnership with Northside Gwinnett in 2013 to provide therapy services throughout the Northside Gwinnett system.
ITC is searching for an Occupational Therapist with a passion for acute care, especially in neuro or ortho trauma. Experience in acute critical care areas of the hospital is beneficial but not necessary. You will encounter many types of diagnoses as you spend time mobilizing patients in the ICU, progressive care units with multiple lines and patients in very critical medical states.

Therapists should be able to clinically problem solve complex orthopedic injuries with respect to mobilization, discharge needs and progression from a therapeutic mindset. Other important qualities we are searching for are teamwork, excellent communication, ability to multi-task and flexibility.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Appropriately assesses and examines patients with varying diagnoses according to OT scope of practice.
  • Treats patient within the OT scope of practice.
  • Teaches patients how to use and care for orthotic, prosthetic devices, and other assistive apparati.
  • Administers and interprets standardized assessments/tests.
  • Fabricates splints.
  • Recommends appropriate adaptive equipment for activities of daily living.
  • Coordinates and leads groups.
  • Maintains gym area and equipment.
  • Provides education to patients, caregivers and associates regarding OT interventions, safety, community resources and outcomes.
  • Attends and participates in patient care planning meetings as assigned.
  • Supervises treatment and documentation of the occupational therapy assistant.
  • Communicates and collaborates with all customers and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Contributes to profits and revenues including marketing and productivity.
