Project Manager

Your role and responsibilities

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.

The work model for the role is: onsite

This role is contributing to the Electrification Business.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Obtain feedback from critical stakeholders involved in the new product or the process
improvement
  • Work with cross-functional teams to execute projects on time and on budget
  • Apply lean manufacturing, six sigma, and other manufacturing best practices to new
products in order to improve their efficiency and eliminate waste
  • Find and pitch improvement ideas, and then execute ideas if approved into a full project
  • Document any best practices discovered and/or standards implemented
  • Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for

your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business.

Qualifications for the role
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing engineering, or related field, in the United States.
  • Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
  • Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
  • Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
