Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of the Physician Assistant in the emergency department is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing a diverse range of patients who are presenting to University Hospital with acute and chronic medicalconditions, injuries, and mental health concerns under the direction of an attending physician. The PA will Provides clinical care to patients at under the direction of an attending physician and will work collaboratively with nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop
comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Health Science or a related field. Graduation from a Physician Assistants Program approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an emergency
department setting. Certification from the National Commission for Certification by Physician Assistants (NCCPA). New Jersey Licensed from the State Board of Medical Examiners‐Physician Advisory committee. Prior experience in clinical medicine is preferred.BLS and ACLS
