Application Systems Analyst (Bell Gardens, CA.)
Overview:
Due to our continued growth, Parkwest Bicycle Casino is seeking an experienced IT Applications Systems Analyst to join our Manager of Information Systems Team. If you enjoy a fast-paced, dynamic environment in a high growth industry, then this is the job for you.
As an Application Systems Analyst you will analyze, design, implement, maintain and develop software applications within an organization. Work closely with business stakeholders, end-users, and IT teams to ensure applications are effective, efficient, and meet the needs of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a technical expert for the development, proposal, implementation and support of end service applications, databases and computer software.
- Work with stakeholders and end-users to understand business requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
- Document functional and non-functional requirements for new applications or modifications to existing systems.
- Configure and customize applications based on business needs and industry best practices.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure application functionality aligns with requirements.
- Identify, document, and resolve application issues through testing and debugging.
- Provide technical support for application-related incidents, working to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance
- Analyze current workflows and processes to identify opportunities for system enhancements.
- Work to streamline processes, reduce redundancy, and improve the overall user experience
- Create and maintain technical documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
- Conduct training sessions and provide support to end-users to maximize system utilization.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

- Willing to work overtime when necessary and/or on occasion and special projects, may be asked to work different shifts to include weekends.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Able and willing to work any given shift including weekends and holidays.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test and criminal background check.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; experience with specific systems relevant to the industry (e.g., ERP, CRM systems); Certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies (e.g., ITIL, PMP, Agile)
Experience:
Two-four years programming and computer operations experience. Familiarity with programming languages (such as SQL), database management, and software applications commonly used in the industry. Expertise in Microsoft development environment.
Physical and mental requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to walk, stand, and bend at neck for 6 or more hours a day.
- Position will require repetitive use of hands for the following actions; simple and power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling and reaching for entire shift.
- Position may require exposure to excessive noise.
- Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
