Human Resources Manager

Northwest Houston client is hiring an Human Resources Manager. This position will play a key role in managing and overseeing the company's HR functions, including but not limited to employee relations, benefits, recruitment, training, workman's compensation, and compliance with labor laws.

Responsibilities: Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to support overall business goals.

Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
Oversee and administer employee benefits programs.
Work closely with department managers to assist in hiring and training initiatives.
Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and state compliance requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records.
Handle workman compensation matters effectively.

Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to ensure continual improvements in the efficiency of the HR department.

Qualifications: A minimum of 5+ years in HR management roles.

Prior experience in formulating and implementing HR processes and procedures.
Extensive knowledge of employment laws and compliance requirements.
Proficient understanding of workman's compensation matter.
Ability to develop strong working relationships with all levels of individuals to foster a harmonious working environment.
Pro-active problem solver.
A degree in Human Resources or related field is highly desired.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Proven experience as a Human Resources Manager, with a minimum of 5 years in the field.
  • Proficiency in Full Cycle Recruiting, demonstrating the ability to attract, screen, and select appropriate candidates.
  • Strong computer literacy, particularly in Word and Excel.
  • Excellent skills in Employee Relations, including the ability to resolve conflicts and maintain positive staff relationships.
  • Experience in conducting Employee Relations Investigations, identifying issues, and implementing solutions.
  • Extensive knowledge in Benefits Administration, ensuring smooth and compliant employee benefits operations.
  • Deep understanding of Benefits Design, with the ability to create and implement effective benefits packages.
  • Familiarity with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and its implications for employees.
  • Detailed knowledge of Employee Benefits - ERISA, staying up-to-date with changes and ensuring company compliance.
