NASC Engineering is searching for an innovative and solutions-oriented Operations Engineers to lead Material Flow Optimization (MFO) Process initiatives in developing and delivering next generation, world-class sortation and transportation systems.

We’re looking to add a handful of high-impact operations engineers to our team. In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external teams develop innovative and cost-effective solutions for our sortation and distribution systems. Your projects will be a variety of template-based and designed-from-scratch along with ownership of Process Designs end to end complimenting each Design.

You will work with a team of highly skilled and highly engaged engineers in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment. Our team works on hundreds of projects each year. You will be challenged; you will learn; you will work on high impact, high visibility projects; you will grow.

Key job responsibilities
  • Coordinate efforts to develop optimal solutions and processes for the sortation and transportation network through material flow, process design, site layout, and intellectual property considerations.
  • Collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions in very short periods of time.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors.
  • Effective communication skills, ability to execute the vision, detailed roadmap, and specific technical solutions.
  • Travel 30% - 50% domestically although travel intensity can be variable.- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other STEM field
  • 4+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Process Engineer, Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, or related occupation
  • Experience managing the lifecycle of cross-functional projects, implementing automated equipment and/or integrated systems- Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related STEM field
  • Operations Management/Distribution Center experience with direct management or responsibility for material handling, automation, or other technical projects
  • Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.)
  • Experience with Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet programs
  • Experience with design and/or implementation automation solutions, such as Conveyors, Sorters, high speed manufacturing and packaging lines, Robotic work cells
  • Proven technical leadership for industrial engineering projects or program
