ORGANIZATION SUMMARY

Today, organizational programming focuses on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy.
This position is contingent upon the successful acquisition of additional funding and may be subject to modification or termination based on the availability of resources.
World Relief Quad Cities is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Arabic speaking Community Ambassador for WRQC clients resettled in the Quad Cities. The Community Ambassador will provide culturally and linguistically appropriate support to clients through interpretation for World Relief services, community outreach, and referrals/education as needed.
This is a limited-term position funded through a grant agreement until 9/30/25 and contingent upon funding extension.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as Point of Contact for Arabic speaking WRQC clients with questions or referral needs
- Interpret for meetings and appointments at WR offices and offsite in person and over the phone
- Assist WRQC staff by reminding clients of appointment details via phone call, voice message, or text message
- Advise to other WR staff on culturally and linguistically appropriate services
- Conduct Home Trainings and Cultural Orientations for new arrivals in their homes
- Act as a liaison between Arabic speaking communities and WR regarding current and future needs and services
- Collaborate and work closely with all other WR staff and departments to achieve program goals
- Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with WRQC policies
- Document services provided via Microsoft Dynamics
- Translate documents from English to Arabic as needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Mature and personal Christian faith
- Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
- Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
- Bilingual ability required (Arabic/English)
- Ability to pass all background checks
- Cross-cultural communication competency
- Valid Driver’s License and access to reliable vehicle
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Trilingual ability preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and Arabic
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and work through challenges efficiently
